Rare Bird Brewpub

Rare Bird Brewpub occupies a beautifully restored 1931 red brick building at 229 Lake Avenue in downtown Traverse City, Michigan. This brewpub serves its own beers, as well as beers and beverages from other breweries, wineries, and distilleries from Michigan and around the world.

The menu features simple, familiar items served with a flair, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Wines, ciders, and spirits, including Grey Goose, Titos, and Bombay Sapphire, are also available.

Tina Schuett and Nate Crane own the brewpub, sharing a passion for rare birds and great beer. Tina operates the brewery, while Nate manages the front of house, creating a cozy atmosphere with intimate reclaimed wood booths, a lounge, and German bier hall style seating made from massive wood slabs.

Beers on tap include Pants Party American Pale Ale, Dueling Banjos Belgian IPA, and Schadenfreude Chocolate Milk Stout, showcasing the brewpub's own creations alongside other selections.

Free parking is available in the lot around the brewpub, as well as metered spaces on Lake Avenue and Cass Street, and the Old Town Parking Garage one block to the west.
